You likely know that both Leister and Plastral are two very different companies that have some things in common.
Firstly, they were both established in the 1940’s.
Secondly, they have undergone continued expansion into different product lines, and different distribution locations, during their decades of successful operation.
Thirdly, both are renowned for manufacturing and supplying high quality products and providing excellent customer service.
However, unless you’re an employee of Leister or Plastral, it’s unlikely you know everything there is to know about Leister equipment, so we’re going to share some information below.

Leister Controllers Regulate Temperatures More Accurately
Leister controllers enable precise regulation of the air temperature of Leister equipment, such as air heaters and hot-air blowers. They are easy to install and use and are compatible with all Leister products.
As with all Leister equipment, Leister Controllers are manufactured with the precision and quality the Swiss are so well known for.
If you’re unsure which controller will best suit your Leister equipment, have a chat to Plastral staff – they’ve been trained by Leister itself.
Eco Mode Means Big Savings
Leister’s and Weldy’s automatic welding machines and manual hot air blowers are equipped with ‘eco mode’, to both reduce electricity consumption and extend the service life of the product.
When staff are taking a break, eco mode in Leister equipment also means a more pleasant work environment, as machines are quieter and produce less hot air. Depending on the number of hot air blowers you’re using, their heating power, and current electricity costs, eco mode could reduce your electricity costs by 40%. Given the high costs we pay today, this could add up to big savings, making it worth your while to choose tools that have eco mode – and remember to engage it.
Penweld: A Great Addition For The Leister Family
Leister introduced the Penweld A and Penweld S hot air welders in January 2024. As their name suggests, they operate similarly to a pen in that they are hand-held. They include an air hose that glides over surfaces with ease. The Penweld A includes a work light that lights up the welding zone, making it ideal for precision welding that may require extra concentration. These hot-air welders are a great addition to the Leister equipment range.
